In August, we wrote a blog post about a Pennsylvania Senate bill (SB 391) that, if passed, would allow for expungement of certain third degree misdemeanors in Pennsylvania. Click here to read the details of the post, and here to read the actual bill. On October 16, the Senate passed the bill 49-0. All that’s left now is for the House to pass the bill, and for Governor Corbett to sign it into law. Hopefully this bill passes in the House without any more delays. We will continue to monitor the progress of this bill, which affects a large number of Pennsylvanians, and provide updates as they become available.
