Three term Morrisville, Pennsylvania Magisterial District Judge Michael Burns passed away from an illness this past Sunday. He was a popular Bucks County Judge, having served the County for well over a decade. He had been fighting illness but many in the legal community were unaware of his illness and his death at the young age of 55 was unexpected. He will be missed by those who practiced in front of him.

Senior Magisterial District Judge Ken Deatelhauser has been chosen to run Judge Burns’ court until a successor is elected or appointed. Judge Deatelhauser ran the District Court in Souderton, Montgomery County for many years and was a frequent substitute in Philadelphia’s traffic court after his retirement.
