2012 National Conference on Crime Victim Advocacy

Between September 18-20, over 800 crime victim advocates from across the country attended the 2012 National Conference on Crime Victim Advocacy. Nearly 80 different workshops were offered by distinguished speakers from across the nation on topics ranging from child and youth victimization, elder abuse, violence against women, trauma and resilience, victims with disabilities, victims of human trafficking, immigrant victims and many others. The conference was beneficial for professionals of all disciplines who deal with victims of crime. The conference was an opportunity for attorneys, law enforcement, and other professionals who deal with crime victims, to collaborate and develop multidisciplinary approaches to assisting victims of crime.
